One feeling that many people may be familiar with is that terrible feeling of being in limbo when you believe your partner may be cheating but you are not sure. Nobody wants to continue a relationship with a cheating partner, but without knowing one way or the other whether they are being unfaithful, you are stuck in a difficult situation.
Some people go in all guns blazing and start throwing accusations only to then discover that their partner was not cheating at all. Naturally, this can have a very damaging impact on the relationship, as it means that the trust could disappear and your partner could become resentful. So, rather than making accusations before you are sure, it is a good idea to familiarize yourself with some common traits of cheating partner. We will look at some of these within this article.
Some Common Traits of Cheating Partners
They Become Protective Of Their Devices
One very common trait of someone who is cheating is that they become far more protective of their various devices such as their phone, tablet, and computer. They may even start using passwords or other protective measures whereas they never did this before. You might find that they never leave you alone in the same room as their devices, and they may even stop using their devices when you are in the same room or when you walk into the room. This could be to do with private messages and posts or secretive text messages on their devices.
Working Late Becomes A Regular Thing
Many people have to work late now and again, and some have to do it on a regular basis at certain busy times. However, if your partner had gone from working regular hours for years to suddenly and inexplicably working late on a regular basis, you may be wondering what is going on. If you share finances and notice that there is no noticeable increase in money from all this extra time at work, it can cause even more concern. Unfortunately, the classic ‘I’m working late’ is still a very common excuse among cheaters.
They Become More Distant
One other common trait of cheaters is that they often become far more distant from their partners. This could include sitting away from them to watch TV rather than snuggling up, long kisses turning into rushed pecks on the cheek, and no sex life to speak of. If this has never been an issue before but has suddenly become a problem, it could be a sign that they are getting everything they need elsewhere or that they feel guilty.
As you can see, there are lots of ways in which you can get a better idea of whether your partner is cheating. This will then make it easier for you to decide if and when to approach them about it.
