What I Cover
I write about how technology, culture, and lifestyle collide in our everyday lives — especially when it comes to dating and relationships. I’m fascinated by the little ways digital tools shape how we present ourselves, connect with others, and even think about intimacy.
A lot of my stories dive into digital identity, self-expression online, and how dating norms are shifting. I’m interested in the human side of all this: how people try to balance being authentic with wanting to look their best, how they protect their privacy while sharing so much online, and how social media and apps subtly influence our choices. I also look at gender, culture, and psychology — how different people experience online dating, how expectations differ across communities, and what technology does to the way we form bonds.
At the heart of it, I like telling the stories behind the screens — the small victories, awkward moments, and real emotional experiences that show what it’s like to navigate modern relationships. I want readers to come away with a clearer sense of themselves, their choices, and the digital world they live in.
My Background
I’m a Korean-American journalist living in New York, with a background in cultural studies and digital media. Before joining Luxy, I wrote and edited for indie lifestyle magazines, covering trends in dating, social media, wellness, and personal growth.
I also have a master’s degree in Media and Communication from NYU, where I studied how digital culture shapes identity and relationships. Over the years, I’ve built a network of sources across lifestyle, wellness, and tech spaces, which helps me bring real-life perspective and depth to my writing.
Basically, my work sits at the intersection of storytelling and analysis — I try to explain what’s happening in digital culture without losing sight of the real people behind the trends.
Editorial Ethics
I try to approach every story with empathy and fairness. I want to highlight different voices and perspectives, especially those that don’t usually get attention, and I avoid judgment whenever I can.
Everything I write follows Luxy’s standards of accuracy and transparency. I fact-check my work, rely on credible sources, and make sure readers get honest, trustworthy insights. I like mixing thoughtful analysis with stories that feel real — my goal is to help people understand how culture, technology, and personal choices intersect, and hopefully make navigating relationships a little easier.
